Post-Merger IT Integration | Migrations | NetSuite
Post-Acquisition IT Integration
The deal closed. Now the acquired company’s users, devices, and data need to land on your systems without stopping work. I plan the cutover, run the migrations, and leave you with documentation.
What I Migrate
I move the pieces in the order that keeps the business running.
RMM and Security Agents
I script the rollout of your RMM and EDR agents and the removal of the old ones, device by device.
Microsoft 365 and Email
Tenant moves, domain cutovers, and mailbox migrations planned around working hours.
Files and Backups
Cloud storage and backup migrations, including data that has to stay in a specific country.
Legacy Data
I reshape old records to fit the buyer's systems so nothing gets stranded in a retired app.
ERP and NetSuite
Implementation support, integrations, and warehouse hardware such as label and thermal printers.
Decommissioning
Secure wipe and destruction of retired drives, plus cancellation of contracts you no longer need.
How the Integration Runs
01
Integration Plan
Inventory, cutover order, and a communication plan for staff.
02
Pilot
A small group moves first so we catch problems early.
03
Cutover
Agents, mail, files, and data move on a schedule you approve.
04
Support and Handoff
I stay on through the first weeks, then hand over documentation.
What a Clean Integration Looks Like
In one acquisition, the buyer ran a standard stack across more than 50 locations and needed a single-location company on it fast. I scripted the swap of the RMM and security agents, helped move the cloud backups, restructured legacy data to fit the buyer’s systems, and destroyed the old drives.
The whole project took three weeks, including the security inspection and the coordination between buyer and seller. Staff kept working through it.
Pitfalls I Plan Around
- Licenses that don't transfer between entities
- Domains and DNS held in a former owner's personal account
- Software only one employee knows how to run
- Cutovers scheduled in the company's busy season
- Old IT providers who still have remote access
Integration Checklist
- Asset and user inventory
- License transfer plan
- RMM and EDR agent swap
- Email and domain cutover
- File and backup migration
- Legacy data mapping
- Old vendor access removed
- Retired hardware wiped and destroyed
- Documentation handed over

Common Questions
How long does an IT integration take?
It depends on headcount, systems, and how different the two environments are. A single-location company moving onto a buyer’s standard stack can finish in weeks. I give you a timeline after the inventory.
Can you work with our IT team or MSP?
Yes. I can lead the project or take specific pieces, such as the security migration or data restructuring, while your team runs the rest.
Do you handle NetSuite integrations?
Yes. I supported a NetSuite rollout for a post-merger parts distributor shipping to hundreds of dealerships, including the warehouse system and label printing.
What happens to the old hardware?
I wipe drives with multi-pass overwrites, physically destroy them, and document what was destroyed.
